# Max the AppCenter Out

Empty App Center may be confusing

After a fresh elementary OS installation, you may be confused with a very poor AppCenter.

Though elementary OS (since 5.1 version) comes with Flatpak support out of the box, you need to complete some actions for non-curated apps to add them to the AppCenter.

1. Head to [Flathub](https://flathub.org/), and click the **Install** button to install at least one app you need.

2. Open the downloaded `.flatpakref` file with Sideload, and complete the app installation.
3. Reboot (just in case).

Since just one app from a remote like Flathub is installed, all other apps from that remote will be also automatically shown up in the AppCenter.
