# Set up Date & Time

In the **Date & Time** section, you can set up the current date and time, time zone you are in, and the date & time format that can be seen in the Date & Time Panel indicator, Calendar, and other apps.

## Entering Date & Time Settings

You can enter the Date & Time settings by either of the following ways:

* [Open the System Settings](https://da-home-studio.gitbook.io/elementary-os-user-handbook/get-started/explore-system-settings/..#entering-system-settings), and navigate to the **Date & Time** section.
* Click the [Date & Time indicator](https://da-home-studio.gitbook.io/elementary-os-user-handbook/overview/desktop-tour/panel#date-and-time) in the Panel, and then select **Date & Time Settings** in the bottom of the pop-up.

## Available Date & Time Settings

Inside the Date & Time settings, you can do the following:

* Select the preferred time format between AM/PM and 24-hour.
* Specify the time zone. You can do it either manually, or enable the corresponding toggle to set it up automatically based on your location.
* Set up the current time and date. You can adjust them manually, or enable the corresponding toggle to follow the network time and date.
* Select the values that should be shown in the Date & Time Panel indicator such as week numbers, seconds, etc.
